Boryana Katsarova is a freelance photographer specializing in documentary, editorial and portrait photography. She is represented by the Paris-based Cosmos Press Photo Agency.

 A wooden boat with which Syrian refugees and migrants from other nationalists running to escape violence at their homeland, is seen at a beach on the Greek island of Lesbos, after crossing a part of the Aegean Sea from the Turkish coast on October 23, 2015. Thousands of refugees and migrants mostly fleeing from war-torn Syria, Afghanistan and Iraq are crossing daily the Aegean Sea from nearby Turkey.
